10th Film and Human Rights in the World Exhibition

The 10th Film and Human Rights in the World Exhibition is an event that has celebrated, over its nine editions, the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10th, 1948.

The exhibition is dedicated to showing films that discuss current Human Rights themes.

It is promoted by the Secretariat for Human Rights of the Presidency of the Republic (SDH/PR), produced by ICEM Institute - Instituto Cultura Em Movimento [Culture in Movement Institute], and sponsored by Petrobras, BNDES, and Caixa Econômica Federal. The event will take place in all 26 state capitals and the Federal District. All sessions will have free admission.

The program will include a selection of contemporary films, which will also be chosen through a public call for projects, in addition to a historical retrospective, tributes, and special programs.

For the second consecutive year, the exhibition will also be held in up to 1,000 cultural centers throughout Brazil, giving it a decentralized and democratic quality in the Circuito Difusão project, which will take place between January and April 2016.
